1. Sparkling beads strung on a silver chain look like crystal, due to their refractive power, sharp facets & cool touch.
Tiny bullet-shaped clasp, stamped "Kremnetz," suggests 1960s aerodynamic modernism. I assume that both the clasp and chain are stainless steel, a respectably modern metal.
Fine New Jersey-based company flourished for about a century, making quality costume and fine gemstone jewelry.
The delicate design and quality crystals should confer value beyond the nonprecious materials.
A pretty, solid little necklace. 35g.
2. Genuine period necklace from a grudging 1960s tradwife. Flawed.
One of 3 strands has broken its, er, chains. (Prob exposed to "The Feminine Mystique.") Scattered crystals are included, possibly not all that were on the strand.
The two remaining strands are wearable.
Crystals are very sparkly, but feel synthetic. 66 grams total.
